Our Approach to Mindfulness is Science-Based
In a groundbreaking study from Harvard Medical School, researchers identified four key factors that make mindfulness so effective.
1. Dominion over where your attention goes. According to the study’s findings, choosing to put your attention on your body allows you to have….
2. Awareness of your physiological state. Our body-centered mindfulness system you to be aware of your body with the intent to relax and release tension as you breathe. Awareness of your physiological state allows you to achieve…
3. Emotional regulation. In the Harvard study, participants were able to avoid blurting out reactive statements or taking impulsive action. They were even able to enhance their ability to reappraise and reinterpret the significance of an emotional trigger. All of this leads to…
4. An empowered sense of self. When you’re under stress, there is no greater gift than to feel capable of handling it. When you can keep your wits about you and recognize whether or not you are seeing your situation clearly, you become wise to the distorting influence of your fears and projections. This self-awareness is the essence of true empowerment.
We employ these factors as a basis for the Practice that underpins all of our teachings because of its reliably powerful effect on the brain’s stress response. Armed with the Practice and the other tools in our courses, women now have a robust set of countermeasures for stress that can calm their emotions and quiet their minds, no matter what the stressful circumstances may be.
Designing The Inner Peace Blueprint™
When Meg first started teaching students the simple mind-body awareness practice she was developing, she noticed something extraordinary: the more these women embedded it in their everyday routine, the more proficient they became at handling stressful situations with dignity and grace. Even those who already had a yoga or mindfulness practice.

In fact, Meg’s students reported the same changes she was noticing in her own life – a better attitude about challenges, a growing foundation of inner peace and well-being and more moments of open-heartedness toward life. This mind-body practice served as a powerful intervention tool to prevent meltdowns and help them feel more confident about handling stressors constructively. This was the beginning of what was to become our signature program, the Inner Peace Blueprint™.
